something like "setup couldn't copy the following data: SetupDat\Files100\DIIUnin.exe Error 0x0000005: Acces is denied (C:\D2\Installer\Diablnst\Source\DiskUndo.cpp:246)" I always get a similiar error message at the end of the installation that tells me that some data couldn't be read.
What is strange is that the version does install normally, but versions from other "sources" don't. I run Windows 10 and have a nVidia Geforce GTX 970 and updated my graphic drivers. I even disabled Norton and consulted my local shaman. I included Diablo 2.exe in my DEP exceptions Listīut all that happens is the kind of blackscreen i get slightly changes and i get the same error message everytime. I downloaded glide from and ran d2vidtest choosing it. I ran in compatibility mode (I tried every mode, but mostly XP(SP2)), checked reduced color mode, pretty much tried any combination at this point. I reinstalled D2+LOD multiple times from different sources including the official Version on
I tried the following (which happens to be a nice checklist for everyone having the same problem): I never even get to see the main menu, it just blackscreens and crashes. So I get the above error message whenever I try to start d2, with or without LOD. So, i know i'm not the only one having this problem, but i seem to be the only one where NOTHING i do works.
